The course concentrates on:
analysing the structure and culture of your school
exploring leadership and management styles
setting up teams, team development and team building
delegating effectively and decision making
appraisal schemes and staff development
managing change
stress and conflict management
quality assurance and customer care
curriculum and new course development
managing recruitment
external and internal school management
This is a 50-hour course over a 2-week period with 5 hours every weekday. Course participants will be expected to produce and present a management project on an area that will enable them to develop their management practice beyond their course.
Entry requirements
Applicants must have a good academic background, a minimum of 2 years English language teaching at a wide range of levels and a minimum age of 21.
Minimum level of English required: Cambridge Proficiency Certificate (CPE)
