The course is designed to provide potential and practising teacher trainers with a range of skills and an understanding of a variety of approaches which can be used to train teachers

Number of hours: 50 hours

Group size: 15 maximum
Minimum age: 21 years old

The course deals with both PRESET and INSET ideas and is a mixture of direct input, seminars, observation and interactive task-based work. This is a 50-hour course over a 2-week period with 5 hours every weekday.

The main objectives of the programme are to:

  • develop current training theories and practice
  • exchange and discuss ideas and techniques within a guided framework
  • provide a flexible balance of core and needs-related topics
  • provide guided observation of experienced trainers
  • Entry requirements

    Applicants must have a good academic background, a minimum of 2 years English language teaching at a wide range of levels and a minimum age of 21.

    Minimum level of English required: Cambridge Proficiency Certificate (CPE)
